I am thinking of buying a sling I can also use for breast feeding. I like the look of the Baba Slings. Anyone out there used that one or any other ones I should have a look at?? Cheers any ideas appreciated.

I have one and it is FANTASTIC... i use it all day on and off.. feeding whilst dealing with my toddler, or shopping, or cooking, or cleaning!

Completely hands free bfing. Then once dd2 is settle i just unclip and lay her down still swaddled in the sling... - perfect.

I got mine for £40 and free postage from www.breastfeedingheaven.co.uk dunno if it was just an offer but u could check> must say it is definately value for money.

I would say any pouch or ring sling is perfect for breastfeeding, a wrap is the best but takes some getting used to!
Have a look on The Mamatoto project or \link{http://www.thebabywearer.com/The Babywearer forums} for hints and tips!

My friend sell slings on-line and will hire them out so that you can try them - she's really good for advice too. \link{http://www.sasaslings.co.uk/\Sasaslings.

yellowfrin,

have you received ur sling yet? What do u think?
I had to use mine today to hide my wet top.. i soaked thru my pad and my whole left side was soaking.. just changed the positioning of the sling and covered it till i got back home!

received it yesterday. Had a go this afternoon managed to place dd in it but she looked a wee bit uncomfy. she semed happy enough think it was more to do with my confidence....will practice once hubby gets back to give some moral support.

Yellowfrin,

hows things going with it now? I was just telling my friend this morning... i honestly dont think i could manage wqihtout a sling now.. i have got sssooo used to it and it is ssoo easy to settle dd and do other things at the same time. I just feel so passionately about mine! and dont know what i would do without it.

It does take a while to get the confidence to use it properly though, but once you find it theres no looking back
