whats wrong with my boob?

Just a quick one - woke up in the night to bf dd and one boob felt very full, after she had fed (30mins) it was still as full and tender and she wasn't satisfied so finiched off with the other side. I tried hand expressing a bit but didn't have much luck and this morning it is really quite sore, very full and lumpy feeling.
Any ideas? Thanks

Could be a blocked duct. Try hand expressing in the shower, feed from that side as much as poss and get some rest. It could turn into mastitis, so try and catch it early. HTH

Sounds like a blocked duct, unfortunately the best way to get rid of it is hot bath as swizzler suggested followed by dd feeding. Ds has saved me many a times, even though I expressed most of the time. They suck harder than you would be able to express by hand. Also while she is sucking you should massage the area that feels hard. This is quite common and can happen if you maybe slept on one boob.

I've just had a bath and it was definatly blocked! with a bit of help it popped like champagne then there was no holding back so dd has just had the biggest breakfast of her life!

help!
blocked again and i can't seem to sort it out this time! is there anything else i can do?
i have tried warm bath and gel pad, expessing, feeding, massaging.
it feels like it is going to explode!

Is it sore andis there any redness in the area? any flu like symptoms...if so it could have developed into mastitis and you have an infection. Keep trying with the warm flannels, masssaging and expressing, but maybe wise to see your doc?

I've all this to look forward to again shortly....hope things get resolved.

really sore and tender but no redness or flu like symptoms. Nipple feels kind of numb and tingly though...
