Feeding support

Does anyone know who I can go to for support for my little ones feeding issues. Long story short I was in hospital for three weeks after having had ds as he had feeding issues. He is now three weeks old and getting the hang of things but still takes just over an hour to take the full amount of milk as he's so windy. He brings some up with a burp but we're finding it's his lower tummy that's the issue, he just wriggles and strains and it just lengthens feeding time. I know he wants the milk as he's still showing feeding cues, he's just in pain from gas. The hospital were (to put it politely) utter sh##e and I had no support, I had to sort his feeding out myself, it was such a struggle. He's being bottle fed due to his feeding problems and can only take one kind of bottle as his sucking is poor. Hv and midwifes have also been useless. I've felt so alone in this. I don't know who else is left to go to for advice on this

Try la leche league....not sure of your area but they have a phone line to ring too.
Is there a community centre or sure start centre that has baby classes? Google it and see. They're often in attached to schools or nurseries.
Go to gp - they may have suggestions that are area specific.
Look on Facebook for local support groups. Maybe other mums have formed a group.
If you're quite a chatty person go to a local playgroup and ask some other mums.
Kellymom website has loads of info and research if you're interested.
Tell us where you are and maybe a local mumsnetter can direct you somewhere x
