My baby has always had contstat sickness and stomach cramps. He was put on aptamil pepti 1 which didn’t make any different. We saw a peadatrition who diagnosed him with a milk allergy and change his formula to neocate. This formula is causing him extreme stomach pains where he is screaming during and after a bottle. I went to my gp who has now changed it to nutramigen puramino!! Don’t want to keep giving him different milks expecially all these prescribed ones. Would anybody suggest putting him back on normal shop bought formula

Not without far more detail and actually being medically qualified, no!

Even if he didn’t seem as bad on that as he does on prescribed

Why is giving a different brand of formula an issue OP? Especially as your baby doesn’t seem happy on the one they’re currently on. Is there anything else you are giving along with the formula?

I’d push your GP/Paed for a referral to an allergy specialist too.

And if it is CMPA, please, please don’t just put him back on regular formula which is made from cows milk. I’ve got CMPA and my stomach is clenching at the thought Sad

Sorry, meant to say, without discussing it with your Paed first.
