Feeding

Hiya, my little girl is 8 weeks old and she goes to bed at 7-7:30 drinks a 7oz bottle, but leaves half an ounce, wakes between 11-11:30 and drinks a full 7oz bottle but then when she wakes for her feed early hours between 3-4am she only drinks 1oz maybe 2. Just wondering if its normal because im starting to get worried, she started doing it about 3 nights ago.
Shall i give the HV a call or not worry about it? FTM. Thanks in advance.

What is it that’s worrying you Tia? What was she doing before?

Is she drinking enough over the day? It sounds like she’s getting a good amount in the evening and when she wakes up in the early hours just needs a little to fill up/provide comfort. You may even find she drops that 1 or 2oz but I wouldn’t try to stop it while she’s still so young. 7oz is quite a decent amount so I’m not surprised she’s not very hungry in the night.
My health visitor told me not to worry so much about what she drinks at each feed but whether she’s getting enough oz over the course of 24 hours.
