Using and sterilising Lansinoh electric breast pump

My LO is now 7 weeks and has been exclusively on breast milk, including 2 bottles of expressed. I have a silicone squeezy pump which is great when I’m engorged and a Tommee tippee manual which seems to do the job but I’ve heard that the lansinoh electric pumps help get more milk out (on a good day I can get 3oz from the right and a maximum of 0.5oz from the left) so I treated myself, I’m looking to BF for a year. I’ve only got a Tommee tippee microwave steriliser, does anyone know if this will be ok?

Also, to clarify on milk storage. I expressed 1oz from both boobs in the same pot this morning and put it in the fridge. I expressed 3.5oz from both in the same bottle over an hour or so this evening and put it in the fridge. When they’re both cool, can I combine in a boobie freezer bag?

Thank you

The breast pump will be fine in the steriliser you have but you don’t need to sterilise every time, I used to put mine through the dishwasher and sterilise once a day.

And yes, once it’s cooled, you can combine. Have a read on storing and handling BM on KellymomSmile

Thank you! Wasn’t sure if it fit or if it had any metal components
