Ok so I just watched Oprah which I had on sky+ and she interviewed this family who had sextuplets (six babies).

This mother breastfed her babies for SIX MONTHS!! Well for a couple of months until one of them bit her but she then expressed until they were 6months old. She said she was expressing about 50 bottles a day.

OMG!! She must have felt like a dairy cow!! I am super impressed and though I would share.

. Blimey - that's v impressive. Must have spent the entire day expressing.

I don't think I'd have even attempted it, to be honest. Anything over two babies and I'd have just thought it'd be unfeasible. And she had a LITTER of babies! Wonder if she ever managed to do anything else in her day else except feed and pump?

Bloody hell. That's incredible and proof that the supply and demand thing can really work well. I'm especially impressed that she managed to express that much.

There was a woman from a america on GMTV on thursday/friday who is a wetnurse, and has been donating her expressed milk since she had her 1st child 19 years ago. She had 3 children herself and had been a surrogate for 7 other women.

Sorry posted to soon she was saying that she was expressing about 2 gallons a week.

She did breast feed some other women child if the mum asked her to do.

She gave to hospitals and if mothers where taking medicine which meant they couldn't do it.

I suspect she had a very good pump on almost permanently!!!! Good for her though.
