Breast milk jewellery

Anyone done it? Did you send your milk away to someone or did you do it at home? I'm not sure how I'd manage the jewellery bit if it did it at home?

Does it have to be fresh ebm or could I use defrosted breast milk (I've always found the colour of frozen milk a bit yellow).

Any tips of what to avoid/where you'd recommend?

The DIY home kits on etsy seem reasonably priced, however, I'm not sure if they are user friendly? Some of them talk about using a uv light etc
If you've made a DIY one how did it turn out? Over time did it discolour?

Seriously is this a thing now? It sounds rank. I'm not sure I get the appeal tbh.

The breast milk is preserved and then pressed into a shape, eg circle to look like a pearl etc.......some are more tasteful/tacky than others!

I do like the idea of something to commemorate this stage in my mothering journey, for me, don't know if I'd tell others what was in it.

Can't answer any of your qs I'm afraid but I am considering this too. Unfortunately it is only Etsy sellers I see offering it as a service (not that there's anything wrong with that exactly but I think it'd be more reassuring from a reputable company)

I used Mom’s Own Milk and got a lovely sterling silver pendant. They send little tubes so you fill those with milk and send them off, after having chosen the item and ordered online. I got it when I’d nearly finished feeding DS, I’ll probably get something similar when DD stops.
