I know there's a similar thread but i've just taken ds to a settling in session at nursery and when i picked him up he'd beem quite unsettled and the worker said he seemed to be thirsty but wouldn't have the water she was giving him. I've tried him on water when i've thought he was constipated but he's never really took to it. I've never given him water for thirst as he is still on four milk feeds a day and does have the 20oz of milk i thought he still needed (he's 6 months and is offered milk after his two solid meals per day and first and last thing). Today isn't the first hot day we've had and he's never varied from his current routine except how much milk he might have with each meal. Do i need to be giving him water as well? I'm confused as i've also read other threads about reducing the number of milk feeds but i thought this happened as part of the progression of wanting more soids. Should i offer water after milk? or should i give extra milk instead of water (eg between feeds)
