Biting

Has anyone gone through this and come out the other side?

My 10mo has only two teeth but they are new and he's been testing them out. Mainly on my nipples.

He's going through a rule testing stage so we've been working on the word "No" anyway but when I yelp take my boob away and say no the little fucker laughs in my face and blows raspberries.

It's normally towards the end of the feed when he's taken to going back and forth "sipping" which is annoying enough in itself without the biting.

Any advice please??

I've just finished feeding my 27m old so I don't remember the details of that time exactly but I remember the fear of the bite coming! I'm sure it was the same, towards the end of the feed, and I'm sure I got better at recognising when the bite was about to come and unlatching her. Saying no biting and ending the session then, not just removing boob temporarily.

Main thing was that the biting phase didn't actually last that long -I wondered how feeding with even more teeth would be possible but she just grew out of it. Oweeowww x

It is Oweeowww!! But thanks for replying. Hopefully this too shall pass because it's just a stage. But it's hard to think of that when the pain is very real and present though!

They seem to bite while they're getting used to new teeth, it happened with each new set Sad. I would just involuntary yelp and swap sides and if they did it again then I'd assume they were finished and stop. I tried not to make it a game, saying no is just a fun reaction it seems.
