Huge feeding bra for the early weeks

Hope this is ok to ask here - couldn't see a more appropriate board.

I've had crop top styles when my last two were born but am likely to be a 34KK/L+ by the time my milk comes in this time. The style I had last time won't go big enough I don't think.

Can anyone recommend anything for this period and the first few weeks?

I have some non wired Royce Charlotte nursing bras from previous pregnancies which are great at nighttime at the mo and hope I can get some to fit closer to the time, but I'm worried about that first couple of weeks when I'm not sure a normal nursing bra will be comfy.

Have you tried figleaves? You can usually get a wider variety of sizes from them. Congratulations too Smile

Thanks. They have 2 in a 36k, which is equivalent to a 34L. Hmmmmmm.

I fear I might have to make one myself!

I was 34L, I'm out just now but will check tomorrow what make I bought, there was only one at the time!

Could it be worth finding a non-nursing bra, and converting it using a clips-and-elastic kit? I got my kits on ebay, they come in different sizes depending on the width of the bra strap. With apologies if this is what you mean by make your own!

AnythingNotEverything · 31/03/2018 22:30

@pileoflaundry I did that with wired bras once my supply settled so it's not out of the question, but I was hoping to find something crop top like and comfy off the shelf to make my life easier!

I've seen Molke recommended - anyone tried one?

Sorry for the delay!
I used Bravado custom nursing bra in size s/xxl ++

Don't know if they're still available, it was a few years ago

Thanks! I've used those before but have the issue of small back and huge cup, so the fit wasn't great. Will double check in case they've improved their sizing.

You need a Molke! So comfy and supportive and much easier to feed in than faffing with clips.

Thanks peaches!

Everyone I know raves about the nursing bras by hiccups and juice on Etsy. They're made to order so not sure how far from your due date you are but mine's on order and i really hoping they're as good as I've heard!

Interesting - I'm a WAHM so know of hiccups and juice. Will check them out.
