Breast milk catcher for weaning milk - sterilise?

Dim question I am sure but my 5.5month old will start weaning next week. I am going to use a pumpless breast milk catcher to gather milk to mix into his food. Do i need to sterilise the catcher?

I would probably sterilise it before first use but not after that. there is plenty of evidence that breastmilk actually kills bacteria so sterilisation is unnecessary. I don’t sterilise my bottles or pump which are used only with breastmilk, I just wash well in hot soapy (washing up liquid,,,) water with a dedicated bottle brush used only for them. My babies are only 2mo and I’ve done this since birth.
