Breast milk collected in shells - can I freeze it?

I have been wearing s breast shell on the breast DS is not feeding from as I leak quite a lot during feeding. I have collected as much as 3oz during one feed!

However, I’m not sure I can keep and freeze this milk or whether I should just tip it away. The info on the shells on Amazon said the milk must be used immediately or thrown away but the reviews have loads of women talking about keeping and freezing it!

Anyone have any idea whether it’s safe to keep the milk and freeze it and if not, why not?

If the shells have been sterilised I see no reason at all why you couldn’t freeze it - no different to pumping, surely?

That’s what I’d gave thought? It seems odd advice not to use it unless it’s because it gets warm against my body?
