Reflux and ranitidine dosing

Ok, so I managed to squeeze a ranitidine prescribtion out of my doctor, after 5 (!) visits re my baby's reflux. So we will give 3x0.75 ml.
Now I forgot to ask, can they be any random feeds throughout the day, and how to actually administer it? Do you just put it in their mouths with the syringe, or do you mix it in the bottle with the formula (forgot to say, he is formula fed). If he does not finish the bottle, I assume some of it would go to waste?

We bought some 1ml syringes off Amazon and administered before sleep (mainly). It was to keep the same routine so we didn't miss a dose. If you put it in the milk and baby doesn't finish it they won't have had the full dose, you won't know how much they've had and can't give them anymore.

Make sure you alter the dose at the baby gains weight.

We used a syringe from the chemist and just popped it in her mouth. She has always taken medicine really well though.
Reflux is awful for baby and for you, hope it gets better with the ranitidine.

My son is 6months old and been on ranitidine for several months. You should have been given a 1.0ml syringe by the pharmacy with the prescription, if you didn't I would I ask for one. I always squirt into his mouth but slowly so he doesn't spit it out. I don't put it in the bottle I case DS doesn't finish it and then hey won't get the full dose. The doses should be 6hours a part. I personally do 6.45am, 1245pm and 645pm as this fits with his routine. Remember the dose is based on the weight and therefore you will need to alter as baby puts on weight. Speak to you pharmacist for more info on dose or call your gp.
