Babies cry for all different reasons the most common reason is because of colic. Does he cry more towards the evening or throughout the day? When my Daughter was around 6 weeks she would always start crying around 8pm and it would last hours no matter what I did until I used Infacol and soothing white noise always does the trick even till this day fortunately the constant crying stopped they go through a crying peak time but definitely check in with your Doctor/Health visitor they’ll be able to help you find a solution:)

What's the prescribed milk for? Reflux? Have you held him upright, Bob him about, loud white noise .

If you can pay for a private ped appointment. It sounds like pain from reflux or CMPA. Try: really loud white noise (download an app on your phone), hold baby in a carrier and do squats, go for a walk outside with the baby in a carrier nice and snuggled up, draw baby's knees up and rotate the legs together clockwise to help relive trapped wind, hold upright for 30 min after a feed, ear defenders for you! It will get better!

Have you tried a different bottle? My little one used to get a bottle of formula before bed and Tommee Tippie bottles really didn’t agree with her. Changed to nuk and no more problems!

Also if it IS reflux, your gp can prescribe ranitidine. I spent 3 weeks sitting upright all night with dc2 on my chest before having an absolute meltdown in the doctors. The first gp wouldn't prescribe anything. The second would. Within a week the baby was so much happier and a few weeks later was sleeping 8-4 on a raised mattress!! didn't last though

He’s on prescribed because he’s continuously sick for hours after feeds and was very colicky/ reflux but awaiting tests! I will try the white noise

I would go back to the Dr's. My son didn't have any tests before being prescribed medication for silent reflux. He was being sicky but hadon't all of the symptoms , which I described to the Dr. I was on my knees with exhaustion and honestly don't know what I would have done if the second GP hadn't taken me seriously. You and your baby don't need to suffer. I hope you get some help.
