Hi I’m new to this and not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I have a five month old son, he’s always been a very hungry baby. when he was first born he was feeding every 2 hours through the day and through the night...over time that got a little better and it was every 3 hours max through the day but he was sleeping a little longer through the night...now he only wakes up once through the night and he wakes up around 8/9 in the morning for another and goes straight back to sleep he’s quite lazy lol but once he’s up properly around 10/11 he’s just recently started feeding every single hour! Even though he’s always been on the hungrier baby milk and now he’s getting two soiled foods a day one in the morning one in the afternoon with bottle feeds in between these every hour...I’m absolutely exhausted because at max he’ll sleep one hour when he naps through the day and he’s also a very very clingy little boy I have to be laying next to him holding his hand or he has to be in my arms..I’ll put him down when he’s asleep and try sneak away to get myself a shower or get house work done but it’s like he senses I’m not there and wakes within 20 mins screaming ..I only get one night a week off cause my parents take him (which I’m so grateful for) as I’m a single mother and his dad doesn’t see him so I’m just wanting to know if there’s anything I can do to make this any easier or is he just a greedy little boy? Lol

Thanks xxFlowers

I didn't bottle feed but that sounds like a lot of food. You may find he's waking as he's tummys uncomfortable. When you start weaning you can find they wake more as their adjusting to digesting food.

Have you tried any sleep training? Sounds like he needs to start learning to self settle (And give you a break).

Thank you for replying! I know it is a lot of food and I hear what you’re saying about an uncomfortable tummy but it really doesn’t seem the case with him I’ll try settle him before I give him another bottle but it doesn’t he gets the milk and drains the bottle 😩 I don’t know if I even can do anything about this🤦🏻‍♀️
