Switching formula brand

Been advised by my health visitor to switch formula brand. Baby has been on pre mixed formula and didn’t take well to powdered milk of the same brand so was advised to use a different one.

However I wasn’t told whether or not I need to introduce it gradually (for example, baby on 5oz bottle, give 4oz old formula and 1oz new?) or just switch completely.

He is currently back on pre mixed milk after the powdered of the same brand made him unwell.

When we did it we just switched completely. DS has no ill effects - we switched because the first was causing him minor problems and he was better after we switched

To my knowledge there’s no ‘health reason’ to gradually change, but some people do it so that baby doesn’t notice the sudden change in flavour and risk rejecting it

I’m currently using cow and gate pre made milk in litre bottles, tried him with the cow and gate powder and he was so sick he wasn’t keeping of it down so went back to pre made. Health visitor was quite rude about it and told me to try aptamil powdered milk. Just don’t want to upset his tummy again 😭

We moved from cow and gate to SMA - DS2 didn't even seem to notice!

I’m just so worried I’m going to upset his tummy 😂 I know I should really phone the health visitor but she was so rude I don’t really want to and I only have her direct line.
