I have an 8 1/2 month old DS who has always been a snacker and has ALWAYS woke every 1.5 - 2 hrs.. I really feel I have had enough now of BF (and being woken) so frequently (also have 5 year old DD who didn't give up BF until nearly 3)and I definitely don't want to end up nursing him as a toddler. After much deliberation DH suggested we go cold turkey last night and he got up all night..I am now waiting for the morning call. Should I continue to BF during day (although he's not really interested in daytime BF at the moment)which will help his adjustment and my engorgement? We've tried lots of different bottles and he's not keen although will drink water from a cup. Help please??

I would think that carrying on BF during the day wuld be better for both of you. He'll no doubt start taking water from a cup, at least at night.
