Recommend a breastfeeding cover?

Any recommendations for a discreet breastfeeding cover? I know lots of women feed without one but I feel more comfortable being covered up. I looked at the Seraphine shawls but they're all hand wash or dry clean only, which seems impractical for an item that will probably get covered in milk?

I just used a muslin round my bra strap. Then one top up,one top down. Practice in the mirror. You'll not get loads of use out of a cover, it's only a matter of time before baby objects. About 4 months is I'd say. If you really want one, get the cheapest one you can find, and if you use it lots, but another so you can rotate when one is in the wash. You're right, they'll be covered in milk!

I used a muslin or just went without for the first two months, but when DD started becoming more alert a proper cover really helped as she wouldn't focus to feed without it, but could just pull a muslin off. Plus there was some wire to create a gap above her head so I could look down at her without having to shift things around and expose myself.

It was just a cheapo one off Amazon off Amazon though.

Bebe au lait covers are fab as the top is attached to a curve of plastic therefore you can see baby feeding without having to use your hand to hold the fabric away from you.

Another vote for Bebe au lait cover ups - brilliant in the early days when you really need to be able to see the latch. I couldn't manage with muslins for the first few months each time.

I used a Faye & lou breastfeeding butterfly which I found really easy to use and v discreet.

I've got a bebe au lait and its great, but definitely 1 top up and 1 top down when.our and about. I like having a nice scarf too that I can drape over DS if i dont have the cover.

I just got a cheap one off eBay. Now DD is 6 months and moves a lot it never actually works anymore anyway.
