Does this sound like a nursing strike?

Hi folks

I've already got a thread on the sleep board because 9.5 month old DS's naps have gone to pot, but now we're having breastfeeding problems too!

Yesterday he started getting very upset whenever I offered him a feed, even though it was at a time of day when he would usually have milk. He went about 7 hours between feeds yesterday, refused the pre-bed feed and has only had one small feed this morning. As soon as he sees me unclip by bra to offer he bursts out crying! Confused

Has this happened to anyone else, and what did you do?

I hadn't really prepared myself to stop breastfeeding yet, would have liked to carry on at least a bit longer. I don't know if I should be expressing to keep my supply up or assume this is the end (and hope he will take formula from bottles instead).

What doesn't help is a week or two ago he started refusing water from a sippy cup, which he had previously drunk no problem with his meals. So he is currently not taking any fluids at all.

He had a fever last night, and sometimes seems in discomfort when eating solids, so I can't tell if all these things are linked and are down to illness, or if it is a nursing strike.

How are things now?

Things are much better now thanks @EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic. It turned out to be due to illness as within a day or two he got better and went back to feeding normally!
