I sleep in one of those crop top type nursing bras and found with normal breast pads I was waking up really wet as obviously if I laid on my side my boob would naturally also go sideways with a gravitational pull... and so my nipple wasn't lined up with the breast pad. Milk everywhere.
Enter the left over big chunky maternity pads! One for each boob, overlapping a little in the middle. Gives wrap-around leakage protection and nice padding for tender nips!
In the meantime, looking forward to wearing an underwired bra that separates and lifts my boobs rather than making a big, squishy, droopy shelf sometime again in the future. But not too near in the future, as I am at that bittersweet stage of nursing the last baby I will ever have.
