MAM Ultivent bottles - can you use microwave to heat milk

Hope someone can help. I'm just about to buy some MAM Ultivent bottles and was wondering if you can use the microwave to heat the milk in??

microwaves are not recommended to heat milk, in any bottle for a baby, AFAIK

i have to say i always have done, but have never heated the milk to a warm temp, just for a few seconds to take the chill off, tehn a really good shake , to disperse hot spots

my sister bottle feeds formular. she makes the bottles with sterile water and waits until baby needs a feed then adds the powder and shakes, no need to warm. if you're using expressed milk from fridge i'd just boil a small amount of water in a kettle put it in the jug then warm the bottle up that way. hot spots keep cooking after the microwaves finished and no matter how much you shake the bottle it won't get rid of them (or so i was told).

I use these bottles and you can heat them in the microwave.

The best way to do it is, before adding the powder to the water, heat the water up first then once you are satisfied with the temp give it a good shake then add the formula. Powder mixes better when the water is above room temp. Water can't get hot spots as there is no "ingredients" in it so to speak!

I was given this advice from the cow and gate helpline when my dd was put on cow and gate comfort.
