Is this THRUSH???

I have a 3 week old baby and am exclusively BF.

I have noticed that he is extremely unsettled constantly and am wondering whether it is thrush.

His tongue is constantly covered in kind of white covering, he has spots all over his face, my right nipple is extremely painful and sore NO MATTER how much cream I put on it (in comparison the the other one which is fine) and he has a small area of nappy rash on his bottom which is quite early at 3 weeks.

I am wondering if this is causing him the pain?

quite possibly - have you tried gp/bf counsellor?

Sounds rather like thrush to me.

See the GP - you will both need to be treated or you'll keep passing it backwards and forwards.

Baby has definitely got (very painful) thrush in his mouth, and have been to the doctors today.

If it wasn't for MN i would never even of heard of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor little sausage.
