Weaning off breast/ cow's milk

My daughter is coming up to her first birthday and she's been exclusively breastfed up until this point, just having the occasional bottle on the three or four occasions I've managed to get away from her for more than an hour or so!
She'll be starting nursery on her first birthday so I'll be sending her in with formula, but I know that we can also introduce cows milk from her first birthday.
So really my question is as I slowly win her off breast milk when I'm around and she probably won't take much formula at nursery is it ok for her to only have cow's milk after her first birthday?
It will be a gradual transition so will probably take a few months.

Yes it’s fine for her to have cow’s milk but do you want to give up Bfing? Mine were fine in childcare with food and cups of cow’s milk (no need to give bottles afte 12 months) and I bf in the morning, on pick up, before bed and in the night if they needed it.

I wouldn't bother sending her with formula I would just go straight to full fat cows milk if she's happy to drink it. Why overcomplicate it wth formula Grin

DS moved to cows milk at 13 months at home, but nursery gave him stage 3 formula until about 18 months. He is 22 months now and we use still use formula when travelling and it may be difficult to access fresh cows milk.

Thanks everyone.... I think it's probably more that i don't want her to be so reliant on me on my return to work.... There'll be days when I drop her off at 7.30 and get home after bedtime.
