Can a bad latch or teething cause ulcers on baby's tongue?

Hi,
My 9 month old DD has been on nursing strike for a few days now (see other post) starting with a viral sore throat and fever. I have been feeding her in her sleep since saturday, but often in her slee her latch feels weaker than usual (I am feeling no discomfort at all though, so latch can't be that bad?)Yesterday I noticed a large white ulcer on the underside of the tip of her tongue. Could this be caused by her two bottom teeth rubbing on her tongue? She only has those two teeth. Am worried that by sleep-feeding I might have caused this to happen by allowing a less than perfect latch, but I can't find anything at all online at all to link mouth ulcers with breastfeeding/latch or teething. Other possibility is that she bit her tongue or that it's a result of the virus she's getting over, but it's so perfectly positioned over her teeth it seems too much of a coincidence.

Has anyone experienced anything similar

Could it be thrush? Does she have any spots on her hands or feet, even if they are tiny, pale and not raised, almost barely there?

This could be hand foot and mouth - my little boy caught it at 11mo and sounded b similar.

It can make the mouth very painful and the spots don't have to be glaringly obvious

Herpatic stomatitis?

My DS had this at 11months, ulcers on inner lip. Didn’t bf for 9 days. Horrible time.

Hand foot and mouth. Just need to let it run its course I'm afraid.

Probably worth checking with gp/hv just to be sure as there are a couple of possibilities

Thanks for replies. I did suspect hand foot and mouth as it started in the same way - fever, dr said throat was Red and glands up. Then the ulcer. But it was one large ulcer and nothing else, right in the middle of the tip of her tongue. A large white irregular shaped ulcer, like the ones I get when I'm run down or stressed. Anyway, it's almost all fallen off now and she's started feeding again, thank god! 6 days in total. Phew!
Thanks again for the comments. It could be one of many things but now on the mend and I think I've decided she just bit her tongue!

My daughter was older but when she was 5/6 I noticed her inside mouth has a few white spots, didn't think too much but was ready to take her to the doctor's. He mouth then exploded with white spots everywhere including down her throat. In a and e they didn't know what it was. It was 20 years ago. Then a doctor came who had seen it before, cold sores, I was like wtf! She hadn't been immune to them. She ended up on the sofa been fed ice cream milkshakes and soup for 3 weeks.
