My 4 week.old lb was drinking 4 oz from.2 weeks old and went up to 5oz for about a week now it's a struggle to get him to have 3oz he's still feeding every 3-4 hours

Took him the children's walk in today as I have to fight to get him to take 3oz even though he's telling me he's hunger and screaming when the bottle taken away he pushes it out his mouth and arches his back (tried replacing with dummy but he only wants bottle as he takes about 2 sucks of milk) The cries he makes sound likes he's in.pain I normally have a wide awake lb for a few hours in the day bit today all he wants is to be held and sleep.

The walk in basically told.be he should.only be having 3oz every 4 hours and I feel so fobed off.

Sorry for the rant just so frustrated as I feel he's not right and don't want him to be in pain. Any one else had this where their lo cut down on there mill

Thanks

It sounds like he has trapped wind. Have you tried Infacol?

Try changing bottles. Dr. Brown's is great for reducing wind. Nuk bottles and teats were my favourite for all 3 of mine because the teat resembles the actual nipple. Nuk can be found online. Worth every penny.

Yep he has infcol before every bottle he has the MAM bottle which he's just changed to as he went off his advent ones

Have you tried Colief? It’s expensive but worth a try. It basically breaks down the lactose in the milk making it easier to digest. It worked wonders for my little one.

Is he pooing enough? I assume they would have checked this when you went into the walk in.

This sounds a LOT like cows milk protein allergy - these symptoms were how my son got diagnosed. Hungry but fighting his bottles.

He a 1 poo a day lb he didn't poo for about 30 hours but has had a massive poo today before I went the walk in and is still not right though.

The walk in didn't seem bothered about the lack of poo
