How much does your bottle fed baby have in 24hrs?

On the side of the formula box it says for his age (6 weeks) he should be having 5 x 5 oz in 24hrs. He's currently having more than this. He has nearly 8 5 oz's and is showing signs of needing to increase to 6oz at some feeds. Ie draining the bottle and then needing more soon after.
He's already 12lb 10 after being born 9lb1.

5 feeds isnt enough for a 6w old. Its less than 4 hourly.

Mine were every 3h from 7am-7pm then 4h overnight. 7/10/1/4/7...11/3/7 repeat.

Had between 5 and 7oz per feed apart from the 3am one which I remember was only 2-3oz. They dropped this feed around the 10wk mark.

Just give him what he needs. They are just guidelines. Mine have never taken the amount on the box.

Just give him what he needs, some people think you can over feed a baby but I disagree. Have always let my ff baby eat as much as she wants and she is a happy healthy weight.

At six weeks mine were on about 7 feeds of 150ml
