I’m considering switching from BF to formula feeding for a number of reasons. My baby is now 4 months old and we have been giving her a bottle every so often so that I can have a break. She tends to drink max 120ml - sometimes only 80ml - when we do this. Which keeps her happy till the next feed, but is much less than the formula packet suggests! If I stop BFing completely, I’d want her to take more than this at each feed. Does anyone have experience of this - did your baby start to take bigger amounts as they realised there was no more boob?! I have no idea how much she takes at each BF.
Also - how do you manage night feeds? I like the convenience of BF at night and I can’t imagine a bottle sending her back to sleep so easily!
Thanks.
