19 Month Old suddenly refusing his milk

My boy was never a fan of cows milk (unless it was on his cereal) so we tried him with Alpro Soya which he loved. He has 8-9 oz for day time nap and bedtime without any problems however last 2 weeks he's refused his milk completely, he doesn't want water as a replacement either ..... although he will have water in sips throughout the day. Any tips or advise would be great!

Although it is recommended that he has 300ml of full fat cows milk each day, he doesn’t have to have it as long as you replace the fat and calcium. I’d give him a calcium supplement, if you can find one that’s age appropriate and give him foods high in calcium, so things like sardines on toast, fish cakes made from tinned salmon, brocolli, dried figs and hummus. You can also give foods that are fortified with calcium like sliced white bread and Ready Brek. As for the fat, as long as he’s getting the recommended 3 portions of oily fish a week, I wouldn’t worry too much. You can always add a little olive oil to things like pasta or mashed potato.

My son's not a fan of milk (one year's old). I did panic a bit but give him food such as porridge or weetabix with full fat milk for breakfast, yoghurts and lots of cheese sauces.

I also add milk and butter to mashed potato.

As everybody's post shows: calcium is on a lot of foods.
