1 bottle of formula a day, when to switch to cows milk?

Ds2 is 11 months old. Breast fed mostly apart from his bedtime bottle of formula. I'm just wondering how long to keep icing formula for, and when I could/should swap to cows milk?

Ds1 was ebf and refused a bottle, but started having cows milk in a nuby soft spouted cup at 12 months.

I’d say 12 months Smile

I started to switch to cow's milk from 10.5 months, switching fully at 12 months. But mine was totally FF at that point, so it meant replacing a little bit of a bottle with cow's milk and the rest formula and then then next week a little more until we were fully on cow's milk at 12 months exactly. If it's just one bottle, I'd probably start now to milk the two, so a small amount of milk and the rest formula in that bottle and then keep increasing it. If you run out of formula before you get to 12 months, I'd probably just switch then, but otherwise keep it mixed and then switch totally at 12 months. A few weeks won't make much difference, but whatever you do, I'd do it gradually just to see how it goes.

Thank you. He has cows milk on cereal and has started having a bit in the same cup his brother used, as a drink. Hes happy to drink it. I've not got loads of formula left so will probably buy another tub and switch after that

We started the transition at around 11 months with fully on cows milk by 13 months. But he was fully formula fed.

I’d say just start whenever you like as it’s just the one bottle a day and I assume he’s eating a balanced diet. it won’t make any difference nutritionally. My theory was no cows milk in the bottle, but it didn’t quite work like that. We did get rid of all bottles bar the bedtime one by 12ish months and dropped the bedtime one about 15 months. Getting rid of the actual bottle was more of a problem for DS than the change from formula to cows milk.

2 nights ive given 5 oz formula 2 oz cows milk. Both nights have been horrendous! ! Stuck to formula tonight, so hopefully will see if it was coincidence or not!
