Hi,

ds has silent reflux being fairly well managed by gaviscon, does anyone think it is worth trying SMA staydown or is it more trouble than it's worth with the thickness of it ?

are you sure that gavison is okay for babies?

try:
massaging back is slow movements up the back.

massage back when face down accross your knees.

using a sling (upright one like hug-a-bub) which helps dislodge gas when you move.

try a different flow teat either quicker or slower, which could be letting in air with feed.

try cranial massge by qualified therapist

hth reflux is not fun at all

is it infant gaviscon? If it is well managed then leave the formula as it is. I tried DS on Enfamil formula which was prescription only and it was a nightmare - followed all the instructions, bought new teats and the stuff still wouldn't flow ...DS's silent reflux was a lot better by 5/6 months BTW

Yes it is infant gaviscon, sometimes I think he could do with one more dose a day but I'd rather keep it at 2 if possible. ds is coming up for 4 months so I might as well hang on for weaning and hope that helps.
