Does anti reflux milk contain carobel or something different to thicken it?

Hi, we currently use cow and gate anti reflux milk for our lg who is 8 weeks old, the gp had also given us movicol to help with constipation.

because we don’t want to keep out lg on movicol i was thinking of switching to another more normal milk and adding carobel but wondered does the anti reflux milk just have this in already anyway? If so then it would probably be pointless switching to it?

If it’s not carobel they use in the anti reflux milk would it have the same effect as the reflux milk with possibly not the same risk of constipation? I’m sure i read somewhere that can be the case.

Also would the normal cow and gate milk be the best to switch to as i think i had read that it’s a good idea to add carobel to the cow and gate comfort milk?

Any help would be great.

James

I’d give one of the Bfing Helplines a call. The BFCs have lots of information on the formulas available.
