C&G Comfort & Carobel instead of C&G Reflux Milk?

Hi, my girl is 5 weeks old, the HV has said they think she’s got silent reflux as she was crying and in obvious pain during / after feeds, really unsettled and crying a lot through the day, coughing sometimes, sometimes bringing milk up when put down after feeds etc..

The HV recommended reflux milk so we have been trying the C&G reflux milk for the past 3 days and she does seem a little more settled, unfortunately she is now getting constipation and now is in pain from that, she appears to be crying and squeezing a lot and there was a tiny bit of blood with one.

I have been reading a bit C&G Carobel and seen some posts saying that it can be a good idea to use the C&G Comfort milk and add some carobel and that gives the same action as the reflux milk being thicker but is easier to digest and doesn't give constipation like the proper reflux milk does, is there any truth in this or is the reflux milk just got some carobel in anyway so would be exactly the same?

Thanks

James

I’m nit medicically trained but I think blood in nappies can be a sign of an allergy like Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA), does she have mucus in her poo too? She certainly seems to displaying a few of the symptoms.

Have a read of this fact sheet from Allergy UK and see what you think Xmas Smile
