BF at 9 months...cutting down feeds will I still have enough milk?

I am still bf my dd, mostly in part because she refused a bottle from 12 weeks but I have also grown to enjoy our special times together..anyway. She has a feed from both sides am usually 10/15mins each side. She then has a v smal feed at 2.30pm 5mins & a full feed at bedtime (7pm) - 15 mins both sides. If I feed her in her room at 2.30pm she will take a full feed..in the dark that is. But if I feed anywhere else she only has a few mins then gets bored. Should I encourage her to have more or should she be cutting down? On some days I have just given her a cup of milk & a pot of fruit puree & she seems fine with this. Also she is waking at 5.30am when she used to sleep until 7/7.30am. If my dh gets her up she will happily play until 6.30am when she gets really hungry & he brings her up to me in bed. But if I get up to see to her at 5.30am she wants a feed, so I do feel hunger is waking her. She has 3 solid meals a day at 7am, 11.30am & 5pm. Should I try giving a cup of milk with her tea or will I have enough milk at her bedtime feed? Also could it be because she is only having a small feed at 2.30pm..would this affect her wake up time the following day? Anyone know the answer..or am I asking too much?

It's hard to know what will make them sleep better. It sounds like your supply would still be fine if you just went to two feeds a day. You could feed her in a quiet place at 2:30 on days when you're home, and either give her a tiny feed or no feed at all when it's less convenient.

Re: the getting up - 7pm to 5:30 is a reasonable amount of sleep - does she nap much in the day?

Day naps are another subject altogether. I have posted another message about this as it's going all to pot. She has a morning nap at 9am - 20-30mins & a lunch nap at around 12.30-12.45 which will normally last 30mins, then I cuddle her, another 30mins, cuddle, another 30mins & then I get her up. On the very rare occasion she has 1.5-2hrs..these are her best days. I have had a few replies on the day nap thread which I am going to try. Mainly I am waiting too long before her morning nap.I will try anything to get a few more mins in bed. She isn't sad though, she is a really happy baby, always smiling...not the same for me & dh, we're always yawning!
