Dd is 4 weeks, mixed fed because I've been struggling badly with bfing since day 1. Today she had a biggish bfeed after a long 3hr sleep and a few minutes later during a nappy change vomited quite a lot of watery pink liquid. She vomited blood the day after she was born but that was darker/brownish and the midwives said it was what she'd swallowed during the birth.
Google suggests now she might have swallowed blood from my nipples but though feeding is painful and my nipples are a little dry they're not cracked and bleeding like they were a few weeks ago. Actually the feed before she vomited was one of the less painful ones we've had!
The liquid seemed slightly more watery than I'd expect milk to be but maybe it was mostly fore-milk? And it was an even candy pink colour rather than being streaked with red blood etc.
Has anyone experienced similar. Can non-cracked nipples still bleed? I'm taking her to the gp tomorrow anyway for a different issue so I'll of course ask then. But she seems well in herself though ever so slightly on the sleepy side.
