Well I am desperate to BF this LO this time, as I was unsuccessful with both dd1&2 for various reasons and TBH really quite nieve (sp?) about it all. Anyhow I was a wee bit concerned that my dad would feel funny about me BF when round at the folks house, being ex military and abit of a hard nut. So I had a natter with my dad on Sunday and he was over the moon in my choice to BF (I lived 100's of miles away when I had the girls). He started going on about La Leche League and other support groups & has also printed off loads of info for me bless him!!!

Not expecting a response really just thought it was lovely.

Thought you were going to say he'd offered to breastfeed your LO for you!

Bless him for printing stuff off etc

PMSL TeeCee yes the title does look a wee bit out of place in the BF/FF section

Squonk thats exactally what I thought he would be like.

If he starts trying to show me how to do it I may find that a tad strange mind LOL

My dad was always there with his zoom lens trying to take pics of me BF-ing DS when he was first born as he was just so excited to have a new grandson he didn't even notice the boob...

Hmm, well I THINK that's why he was taking pics . He did take lots of pics without boob too...

megan - that is lovely - we don't always know our parents as well as we think we do

my dad died in 1995, but i know that if he had lived long enough to see ds, he would have been very supportive of bf - funnily enough probably more than mum who thought i was mad to bf longer than a year

dad loved babies and he thought they should be bf !

his half-brother, my uncle, has 5 children, all were bf for over a year and so is his granddaughter !
