What consistency should bf poo be if dd is only pooing every few days?

DD is 14 weeks, totally breastfed and only poos every 2-3 days. HV told me this was fine with bf babies when I asked her when dd was 3 weeks old, but it seems to have gone thicker now so rather than the watery liquid poo DS1 had, it is more like yoghurt consistency but normal colour.

Could this be a bad thing?

(sorry about all the poo talk!

Sounds the same as my bf dd.
Wouldn't worry too much

sounds very similar to my DS.

My ds is exactly the same too. He is 27weeks now and totally breastfed. I think I remember reading somewhere that because breastmilk contains exactly what the baby needs there isn't as much waste to be pooped out!

My ds2 did thicker yoghurty poos than ds1 (both bf). He also pooed infrequently. He once went 2 weeks without pooing!!! HV and doc said he was using up everything i gave him and there just wasn't much waste. when he finally did go it was still yellow and liquid but there was loads of it.
