DS is 14 weeks old and bar a few formula top ups in the first 3 days, has been exclusively breastfed. We have tried to give a bottle of expressed milk several times since he was 6 weeks old, with varying success. Sometimes he took an oz or 2, sometimes we had screaming refusal. This evening we had an hour of screaming and refusing the breast, but I knew he was hungry. Tried lots of different positions, even calpol but still not having any of it. So I got a bottle of ebm from the fridge and he downed the lot. I didn't even run it under the tap to warm it at all. Was it because it was cold? Could he be teething? His hands are constantly in his mouth. Once he had the bottle he went on the breast no problem. Any ideas any one?
