Blocked duct

I think I have (or had) a blocked duct. During the night I woke up with a very tender, bruised feeling from nipple to armpit. In hindsight, there was a slight tender feeling near the nipple starting a few days ago.

I have fed as much as possible, and also expressed once as I have oversupply and DD rarely drains the boob. Usually I just feed her on one side.

However, it still feels just as tender and sore as before. I haven't had a fever or anything else, but wondering how long this will take to clear up? I haven't felt any obvious lumps at any point.

DD is 4 weeks btw, if it is relevant.

Forgot to say, should I keep expressing? I don't want to end up stimulating my supply too much

Kellymom is great for advice.
Hot shower and massage. Feed feed feed.
Put a warm flannel on while feeding.

Dangle feeding is the only thing that got rid of mine. Felt a bit of a prat though Grin
