DD is now 9 wks and still feeds every 2 hours in the day and maybe goes 3-4 hours overnight. I'm sure DS had calmed down to 3-4 hours during the day by now...

some do, some don't.

ds is 8.5 months and still feeds every 1-2 hours, although he's settling at night now finally.

at this age dd was only feeding 3 times a day!

in your case though i wouldn't count on it settling soon... you've got a few growth spurts coming up at about 12 and 16 weeks or thereabouts

Eeek... whilst I'm all prepared to do a few months of 2 hourly feeds, i reckon DS (20 months) will have cracked up by 8 months as he's sooo fed up and frustrated when I'm feeding DD! I must work out how to do it on the move...

DS hadn't (calmed down I mean). Have you tried feeding in a sling?

Cazee · 14/04/2007 20:32

My DD fed constantly until about 12 weeks (a 2 hour gap would have been heaven!) Then, for no reason I could see, she just settled down. Course, I then worried she was feeding too little...!

I haven't actually tried using any of my slings for feeding yet. I have a very large (droopy!) bust and have to support my boob with one hand when feeding so I reckon that I wouldn't manage. Mind you, DD has also decided the last couple of weeks that she hates being slinged/wrapped. No idea why!

I might give it a go tomorrow while DH has DS if I'm feeling brave lol.
