Bottle teats

When would you know the baby is ready for the next level up teat?
I’m a first time mum, my baby is 12 weeks old. I use MAM bottles and he’s currently still on teat 1?
Shall I change to teat 2 now?

Try a second stage teat and see how he copes with it.

I was told that you’d know when they start getting frustrated at that milk not coming fast enough. I tried the 2 and my DD was spluttering and drank it so fast that she had really bad wind after so I went back to 1, she’s over 4 months and still on 1.

I changed mine at around 3-4 months, it was taking her about 40 minutes to have a bottle so thought I'd see. No issues now and they're normally drank in around half that time.
