Making bottles with hard water

I live in a hard water area - when I boil tap water in a pan or kettle you can see a white substance on the top of it!

I make the baby's milk bottles with it so i boil in a pan and pour into a jug which skims some of the white stuff out! It's awful...

Do purifiers work? can this stuff do any harm long term? it's from a tap so is classed as drinking water but it can't be good for people?

any advice appreciated!

It's just timescale. Not bad for people however I have no idea if it's bad for babies Confused

Lots of people use the tommee tippee perfect prep machine that filters and heats the water; some people swear they are the greatest things, others think they're not that great, they are on sale in Asda at the moment. Have a look, might be a good solution for you?

We use ready made formula straight from a bottle so don't have experience of either!

At least baby will have really good teeth. If it was dangerous it wouldn't be in the water supply.
