Baby won't feed from breast

Hi was wondering if anyone had some advice. Baby 14wks breastfed with one bottle a day from 2 wks to let dad feed baby. Was all fine until last week. Baby started refusing breast and would feed from bottle. Could get baby to breast with some coaxing and sometimes giving an oz. tried to feed baby before he got hungry but he cries coming to breast and won't latch. Tearing my hair out and getting very upset over it as I want to keep feeding but I don't know what to do. Monday he stopped fussing and went straight on for every feed. Didn't get bottle just in case but Tuesday morning wouldn't feed from breast and had to give bottle. Today he won't feed at all even with coaxing. Help please! Sad

Sorey I've no direct advice but you could try the national breastfeeding helpline or a local breastfeeding drop in maybe?

Thank you. Phoned local breastfeeding support nurse and she just said to keep doing what I was doing. Was just in case anyone else had any tips. He managed to feed a few times today and iv just been expressing the rest of the time. Fingers crossed it will get better. Smile

Have you tried nipple shields? I know they are frowned upon in some parts but they can be a lifesaver when trying to establish an initial latch

I actually use nipple shields at the minute. Wouldn't have gotten through week 2 without them. But here we are 14 wks and all of a sudden just refusing? So confused Sad
