My 10 weeks old has gone from pooing every day 1-2 times to 3 days without poo. Then he had one big poo and now again 2 days without it. Has very smelly and frequent winds and often cries when passing winds. Has reflux and on ranitidine. Three days ago just sleeps all day and eats smaller volumes, doesn't cry for food. Eats 60-90 ml often every 4-5 hours. Then he may eat 150ml and then 60-90ml every 3 hours. I am wondering is this all normal and what should I do?

Hi
If your baby is sleepy and uninterested in food please take him to a doctor. He could be ill and possibly dehydrated if he's like this and may need medical attention.

He may not be pooing because he's not taking in enough or it may be caused by the ranitidine, but generally speaking a sleepy baby not looking for food should be seen by a doctor.

Yes - I agree. Your baby should be seen by a doctor.

I took him and been told it's all normal this is why I wrote here. I gave him gripe water andd ithelped.. he started eating better. Sleeping was a growth spurt I guess. The winds were bothering him so he was not keen on food. Not pooing every day even when switched him from cow and gate to aptamil. Thanks for your replies

Sounds ok and that he will grow out of whatever it is, AnaKristina :)
