Every time DD wants a bottle, I give her infacol, as I always have, and she was always a good eater, even went up to 6oz. But this last week she screams as soon as she's had a few mouthfuls. I know it's wind, as I can hear it in her belly, don't even finish an oz before he needs burping and is only finishing a couple of oz before she gets bored. We have dr browns bottles, have tried gripe water, and tried burping before feeds. Don't know what else to do she just wriggles and cries in pain! Really worried. Thanks all x

Can be silent reflux - DS developed this around 10 weeks old

Symptoms include refusing feeds, screaming, acidic smelling breath, hiccups, gurgling tummy etc

Ask GP about ranitidine - don't get fobbed off with gaviscon, it's useless by all accounts and makes them constipated!

Haven't noticed her breath. But she has hiccups after every feed and her stomach gurgles soon as she starts eating and she refuses it!! Will book an appointment. Thank you!!

Yes sounds like reflux. My LO developed it at about we weeks. Gaviscon did work for us actually, but obvs depends on the baby. Also have you gone up to a medium flow teet? Depends on the bottle (we use Mam) and they have a medium flow teet from 2.months+ But I've only tried it with him once. He's a great feeder so nervous that the medium flow might make him more windy BUT if baby is getting tired with taking the bottle then a bigger teet might be what's needed.

Certainly get the reflux checked first... good luck

Just an update...went to the docs last night. He was a bit useless and basically said, babies cry. I ended up saying do you think it could be reflux? He said no it's not common it babies Confused but you could try gaviscon if you really want. Anyway, long story short. We have gaviscon and it seemed to work! Last night was the first night I have ended up co sleeping for the sake of sleep. She had her bottles and went straight back down. Amazing! Thanks all Grin
