Arrrghhh hourly feeding, often puking up the entire lot, only to start again 2 wk old

Healthy little ox, breastfed piling on the weight
Was formerly feeding 2-3 hrly and losing on average 1 feed a day.
Now 13 days old he has wanted to feed hourly or less from 1am, this has resulted in large scale puking.
I try to feed from one breat so he is not getting too much foremilk
I have a very abundant supply so he is unable to suckle for comfort without getting a gutful of milk
He now has a bellyache is overtired and we are both stressed.
I'd quite happily leave him latched on all day but I have dd 4 at home and am unable to just sit and feed, not to mention the huge pile of washing and changing that needs doing.

I don't need advice I guess I just need to vent

I had to express a bit of mine out before dd1 latched on, hand express, would this help do you think?

dd1 puked after most feeds, only a bit and one day I had changed about 4 times by midday and then thought, FFS and the next time just sat in my pukey clothes all day

Yes he is kissable but I want a cup of tea, I want a shower as I am covered in puke
I want to strip my puked on bed and do a load of puked on washing.
Will I ruin his psyche if I put him into his crib for ten minutes and let him roar?

When my dd2 did this, I'd try to occupy her with things other than milk (hard at that age, I know) then feed her when she was tired. Sleeping seemed to a) stop her drinking too much and b) give her time to digest. Sorry if this is blindingly obvious and therefore useless.

I think it is a growth spurt after all
Now I'm worried about my milk quality...
I have appetite loss (commonly known as Victoria Beckham post natal diet) and have to force myself to eat ho hum...
Resorting to Haagen Das to keep the calories up

I lost my weight super quick, was back in jeans in 2 weeks (with wobbly belly but hey ho)

I don't think diet affects milk, or so I have read on here. But I thought it did, so ate tons.

I made a huge stack of cheese sandwiches the first chance I got (say 5.12am ) and snacked on them all day as you could eat with one hand and feed at the same time.

Is it the eating that's the problem or the preparation? I've had times when I could only eat if I didn't have to cook it first. Muesli and fresh fruit can work wonders.

I eat museli fruit and yoghurt for breakfast
just had tomatoes on toast for lunch was going to have cheese BUT have none and buggered if I'm waking the little chap to go out and get cheese...
I eat really healthily by nature I hate shit food - prawns and salad etc soups...
Dinners fish and veg pasta and salad yada
Have added half a tub og Haagen Das Dulce De Leche and the odd Guinness just for boosters.

I am just not hungry during the day and when time escapes you, hours can pass before you notice

I made cheese scones yesterday (back when I had hands free) so might just chow them down this afternoon..

I was back in my jeans on day 10... am lighter now than I was pre conception

honest, make huge pile of sandwiches, then grab one when you are passing or feeding

And send dp out for rachels coconut yoghurt

obviously ice cream or cakes will not go amiss either

I had a thing for scones, think they were about 300 calories each

only problem was, I stopped b/f, carried on eating the scones and put on loads of weight!

My DD is a terrible puker too (if that is a word?!), but as she really enjoys sitting in front of the washing machine while it is on I have found the two cancel each other out... Shame about the smell though, I thought she would small of "new baby" not "puked up milk"

Darling lad settled down to 2hr feeding/sleeping overnight did not poo overnight so minimum nappy changes
He has been the saem today, just awake for an hour asleep for an hour.

I had a HUGE oversupply of milk and a really fast letdown so my DD2 used to gag and drown as well - feeding on one side, then offering the same side next time for a good few hours, helped calm things down. If the "other" side got too full I'd express just a teeny bit. The engorgement tells your boobs to cut down on milk production a bit. Things will sort themselves out. I always felt that when the head size to breast size ratio evened up things would improve. Id DP is going out for coconut yogurt can't he take bubs with him in a sling and hence give you time to shower etc? I always think a hot shower and clean sheets and you feel like a new woman.
