Nipple *TMI*

I have what seems to be a blister in the middle of my nipple, on the tip.

It's so painful! I can't feed off that boob. Expressing isn't as bad but DS gets really fussy on that side.

Any tips on how to deal with it, please?

I don't really have advice but perhaps it's worth seeing your GP? If you avoid feeding from that boob you could end up with other problems e.g. Blocked duct etc

milk blister, good advice here: kellymom.com/bf/concerns/mother/nipplebleb/

What colour is it? If it's white it's probably a bleb. The is kellymoms advice about them:

Recommended treatment for a milk blister usually consists of four steps: apply moist heat prior to nursing, clear the skin from the milk duct, nurse or pump with a hospital-grade pump, than follow up with medication to aid healing. You may need to repeat this for several days (or longer) until the plugged duct opening stays clear.

Great website to look at for more info about everything breastfeeding related Smile

Lol, x post!

Ouch, I remember having one early on. I followed the Kelly on advice above. Hot flannel and keep feeding/expressing to keep the duct clear.

Kellymom, not Kelly on.

looks like everyone uses kellymom website, it really is the BF bible! I used to soak my nip in a really hot bath then express straight after with a normal pump (not hospital grade) which seemed to be more effective than baby feeding off it
