Nipple thrush?

I am bfeeding my 6 wk old DS and have just noticed a couple of white bits on my nipples -they are also more painful than usual when I feed him -shootng pain when he latches on that subsides during feed. My nipples have always been painful since I started bfeeding prob due to poor latch initially and ended up with cracked nipples at one point.

things had been improving but now I'm wondering if I could have thrush in my nipple?

Also DS feeds for up to an hour at a time which seems to be getting longer not shorter. He doesn't seem to have white patches on his tongue though and HV checked him for this a couple of weeks ago and thought he was fine -tho i didn't have white bits on my nipples then.

am wondering if it could just be a bit of loose skin on my nipple? It does seem to be hanging off a bit (sorry if too much info!)

Best to get it checked out by GP.

Have you tried Lanisoh for the cracked nipples? Really helped me

Is it maybe this?

I became a walking encyclopaedia on causes of nipple pain. That's how bloody desperate I got and none of them matched mine!

Mind you, if the pain subsides during the feed it doesn't sound quite like that.

I got an infection on my nipples which needed antibiotics to clear it up. Might be worth seeing if you could get a swab taken - obv you don't want abs if it's thrush.
