8.5 months introducing bottle- but what teat flow?

Would like to start introducing a bottle for occasional use with (up until now) bf baby. He seems ok with the concept of a bottle (has tried a few sips of leftover formula used for his porridge in a bottle here and there and sometimes water from a bottle) but has never had a proper feed from one.

Any suggestion of the best teat flow to go for? I was thinking slower might be more like breast and therefore more comforting but maybe I'm wrong!

With my LO he was EBF until 6 months and now has expressed with a size 3 x

I think with bf it's advised to just stick to the slow flow teats when you use a bottle. The flow from a breast doesn't get faster over time after all.

However at 8mo you could also just go straight to a sippy cup or one of the other options for closed cups.

Thanks!

We use a lidless cup for drinking water at home and one of those 360 non spill cups for the pram when we're out, I have given him milk in the lidless cup and a sippy cup but for his last feed and if he's feeling anxious (as he might be if I was away for a day/night) I think he'll need an element of comfort. I tried the cup for his last feed a couple of weeks back, he was NOT having it. The bottles I have (supposedly) mimic the shape/feel of a breast and when I've offered it at night with water he seems to accept it better.
