11mth old dropping down to two bottles

DS is almost 11mths and seems to be dropping his afternoon bottle of milk, is this about the right age for this to happen??. He has one 7 oz in the morning (only normally drinks around 5-6 oz), cereal with milk (around 4oz), when not at nursery youghurt for pudding at lunch. He used to have a bottle at 3pm but for the last week or so he has refused it. He'll then have a 7 0z bottle at bed time (normally takes 5-6oz). He eats well and on most days has some cheese etc. I know the guidelines are at this age around 18oz of milk but he has rarely got there and I've relied on the yoghurt/milky puds/cheese etc to get him by. Any thoughts on giving up wasting time and money on this afternoon bottle on the off chance he might slurp an odd oz (on a good day?)Thanks

my dd was down to 2 bottles by around 10 months - one morning and one evening. I made up her intake with yoghurt, cheese sauces, etc. Your lo sounds pretty normal to me.

both dc were off all bottles by 11months, they just lost interest they were drinking milk out a cup, i too just tried to make it up with yoghurt and cheese etc.

That sounds fine to me, Ds was about 11 months when he went onto a cup of milk in the morning and a bottle just before bed, actually he may have been younger.

Anyway don't worry.

Thanks all - i'll give him till Friday and then the afternoon bottle goes - I'll perhpas see if he'll take a small drink of milk from a cup with his snack. Good to be reassured
